The Z List Dead List

I’d spent Tuesday afternoon in London doing some research for the #zlistdeadlist.  While I was in the Science Museum I was much taken with Bennet Woodcroft (1803-1879), a man obsessed by steam locomotives and documenting the industrial revolution.

By wonderful coincidence on my journey home, I stumbled over this historic gem (GWR 4073 5029 Nunney Castle from 1934). Seeing the steam rise through the new station at Reading felt a Dr Who, Harry Potter and Brief Encounter mash up. It suddenly struck me why the old Victorian stations all have such high ceilings… for the steam!  They weren’t just being pompous. I do love that these trains are still preserved and looked after… and so would Bennet Woodcroft.

We’ve had a re-giggle. Next month’s line up at The Z List Dead List now includes the wonderful, gloriously funny, Elf Lyons. Previously on the  Z List she focused on her london underground obsession, but word on the street is she has a more saucy contribution to this month’s Z List Dead List.
The question is, can she beat geekatorium master, Paul Gannon?

Think so? What about Oxford Imp and Qi Elf Andrew HunterMurray?

or the classics infused super brain that resides in the noggin of Natalie Haynes?

Only one way to find out - be at the Camden Head Camden High street on Sunday April 13th. Doors open at 4pm show starts 4.30pm.
